Data Privacy compliance workshop

The local privacy laws were enacted in 2012.

The purpose of the regulation was to establish a data protection law that governs the collection, use, disclosure and care of personal data.

All companies have to comply with the law. It even mandates that all company is to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). One of the few roles in a company mandated by a law. This demonstrates the severity of the issue of the handling of private data within companies and organisations.
